Yep, you read that right. Close (well, I don't know if that's true or not), but no cigar.
The three finalists in The Arizona Republic's first-ever "Top Home Chef" contest were announced yesterday evening on EVB Live (Channel 12 in Phoenix) and my name was not among them. The staff prepared a dish from each finalist and showed them. Amazing food! I can't wait to read their recipes in the food section.
Still, what fun it was. I'd do it again in a heartbeat!
And maybe my essay, listing that I am to publish a culinary mystery this summer, will get me some press in the press!
